Pilot Projects in the Greater Mekong Subregion
National level activities taking place under the ESCAP regional project on the elimination of sexual abuse and exploitation among children and youth in the Asia-Pacific region will soon be in all 12 of the participating countries. Below is a look at the pilot projects in the Greater Mekong Subregion, including Cambodia, China (Yunnan Province), Lao People's Democratic Republic (PDR), Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

Health and Social Service Providers in Asia Train to Help Young Victims of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Exploitation Heal and Renter Society
Health and social service providers from Cambodia, China, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam met in Thailand from 7-29 September 2000, for three weeks of training to enhance their knowledge and skills in meeting the physical, emotional and psychological needs of the rising number of sexually abused and sexually exploited children and youth in Asia.
