1998 ESCAP HRD Award Conferred Upon Non-Formal Education Department, Thailand
The Non-Formal Education Department of Thailand has been proclaimed the winner of the 1998 ESCAP HRD Award. An independent Jury established the winner on 24 February, highlighting the important role of Government in mainstreaming non-formal adult education programmes in socio-economic development.
